Railway Modelling in 1:64 scale in the UK has been around for over 100 years and this society since 1946. Our history page tells the story.  Although S scale is still largely a scratch builders scale in the UK there are a significant number of kits and parts available to members of the society (see Parts above). Some commercial suppliers can also be found listed under Links.  The Standards section includes a page on prototype rail sections.
